Easy and Delicious Super Bowl Party Appetizers

Easy and Delicious Super Bowl Party Appetizers
When you're making Super Bowl party appetizers you want them to not only be inexpensive, but delicious and easy. Below are 6 of the best appetizers that you can make for your party. I'm sure your family and friends will love them as much as mine. Before I get started there are a few things I should mention. These menus are for ten people, so if you need more then try doubling the recipes and don't forget to taste when you can. I've discovered that following recipes are great, but sometimes the final decision will be how it taste to you. Especially when you're dealing with foods that are sweet or hot and spicy.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Tips: There are usually ten pieces of bacon in a package. When you cut them into thirds, make it easy and leave them in the pack. You'll need just enough cut bacon to wrap around 20 smokies. Also make sure the bacon is cold so that it wraps easily around the smokies.
Prep Time: 45 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Servings: 20
Serving Size: 2 per person for 10 people

Ingredients:
1 package of bacon, cut into thirds
20 beef cocktail sausages
3/4 cup brown sugar, or to taste

Supplies:
Baking sheet
Toothpicks
Tray for Smokies

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each strip around a smokie and secure with a wooden toothpick. Place the smokies on a baking sheet and sprinkle them with brown sugar. Bake until bacon is crisp and the brown sugar melted.

Deviled Eggs

Tips: It's easier to have a container that is made specifically to hold deviled eggs, because you can place the empty egg in it's slot and then fill them with the yolk mixture. Cracking the shell on the broad side of the egg and peeling under cool running water makes them easier to shell. I use Eggland Best eggs. These eggs have less cholesterol and they taste better.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 20
Serving Size: 2 per person for 10 people

Ingredients:
10 eggs
1/4 cup Miracle Whip
2 tablespoons sweet relish
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons French's yellow mustard
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Paprika for garnish

Supplies:
Bowl
Devil Egg Tray

Directions:
Boil eggs for 10 minutes then cover and remove from heat. Let them sit for 5 minutes, then rinse under cold water. Crack egg shells on the broad side of the egg and peel under cool running water. After all the eggs have been shelled, slice them in half lengthwise and remove the yolks. Place the yolks in a bowl, and place the whites on a serving platter made for devil eggs.

Mash the yolks into a fine crumble using a fork. Add the Miracle Whip, relish, mustard, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Spoon the yolk mixture into the egg whites and sprinkle with paprika.

Spicy Fried Wings

Tips: I'm sure you'll find other recipes similar to this, but I came up with this idea about 4 years ago because my niece loves hot and spicy food, especially chicken wings. I love using chicken wings and cutting them in half. I generally get the biggest wings I can find because this gives you more to eat. I discard the wing tips because no one eats those. If you want dipping sauce why not try ranch dressing.
Prep Time: 45 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Servings: 20
Serving Size: 2 per person for 10 people

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
Vegetable oil
10 whole chicken wings cut in 1/2 at the joint. You can cut the wing tip off and discard.

Spicy Batter:
2 eggs
2 tablespoons hot sauce
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cups all-purpose flour

Supplies:
Paper Towel
Bowl
Shallow Dish
Deep Fryer or Frying Pan
Tray for wings

Directions:
Rinse your chicken wings and place them on paper towel. Sprinkle the wings evenly with the salt, garlic salt and black pepper. Whisk eggs, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, and cayenne pepper into a bowl. Pour the flour into a shallow dish.

Heat oil in either a deep fryer or the pan you use for frying chicken. Place wings into the egg mixture then into the flour. Cook wings in batches of 5 so you don't over-crowd your pan. Cook for 10 minutes or until they are done and golden brown. Place the wings on paper towel to drain.

Pinwheel Sandwiches

Tips: I fell in love with these about seven years ago when I purchased them for a New Year's Eve party. After examining them I discovered you could easily make these at home and save the money for something else. You can cut these as large as you want, but I generally try to get at least 5 sandwiches from the tortilla. You can also use whatever deli meat you want.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 20
Serving Size: 2 per person for 10 people

Ingredients:
4 flour tortillas
Mayonnaise
Yellow mustard
Slices of provolone or Swiss cheese
1 package of deli ham or turkey
Lettuce leaves

Supplies:
Toothpicks
Tray for sandwiches

Directions:
Heat tortillas in microwave for about 45 seconds. This makes them soft so they won't crack when rolling them. Spread each tortillas with mayonnaise and mustard then top with meat and lettuce.

Roll up tightly, cut the ends off the rolled up tortilla then cut into 5 slices or enough slices for each person to get at least two sandwiches. Secure sandwiches with toothpicks.

Stuffed Mushrooms

Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour
Servings: 20
serving size: 2 per person for 10 people

Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups hot water
2 1/2 cups Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Chicken
20 large fresh cremini or regular button mushrooms
4 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
4 tablespoons melted butter

Supplies:
Bowl
Frying pan
Tray for mushrooms

Directions:
Gently scrub mushrooms and make sure they are clean. Pour stuffing into bowl and add hot water. Stir stuffing until moistened. Let this stand for 5 minutes.

Remove mushroom stems and chop them. In a large frying pan cook mushroom caps in 4 tablespoons of butter until lightly browned. Place them rounded-sides down in a baking dish.
Add stems and onions to frying pan and cook until tender. Add this to stuffing and mix well. Spoon stuffing mixture into mushroom caps and drizzle with melted butter. Broil on second rack down for about 5 min. or until completely heated.

Cherry Delight

Tips: If your family and friends love cheese cake then they will absolutely love this dessert! I know the name doesn't exactly tell you it's cheese cake, but that's what it is, and it's the easiest cheese cake you'll ever make because it's no-bake. What you're going to do is make individual portions in mini aluminum pie pans which is perfect for a dessert at a Super Bowl Party. To make it even easier, get the packaged graham cracker crumbs.
Prep Time: 45 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 10
serving size: 1 per person for 10 people

Ingredients:
3 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 tub whipped cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1 stick soften butter
2 cans of cherry pie filling
Whipped cream (Cool Whip or Reddi Whip)

Supplies:
2 Bowls
10 mini aluminum pie pans

Directions:
Pour graham cracker crumbs into bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar. Mix in 1 stick of soften butter until crumbs are moist and stick together.
Divide moist crumbs between mini pie pans. Pour enough crumbs into pie pans that will cover the bottom and sides of the pan when pressed down. Make the crust about 1/4 inch thick.

Place cream cheese into bowl and use a spoon to mix in the other 1/2 cup of powdered sugar. When the cream cheese is soft and smooth, spread about 2 tablespoons of it over the graham cracker crumbs on the bottom of the pie pan. Only cover the bottom.
Divide the cherry pie filling between the 10 mini pie pans. Spread on the top of the cream cheese. Top cherry pie filling with whipped cream of your choice and then refrigerate the Cherry Delight until you serve.
These are the most delicious and best Super Bowl appetizers, so why not try at least one of them. Or if you're short on ideas you can try them all. These are a tradition at our house and they have become very popular.
If you should decide to use these recipes just know that you can always double or triple them, and you can also add your own favorite spices and ingredients. Experiment with them, but just make sure to taste your creations before serving to your guest.
