A magnificent choice for any holiday occasion or just for a quiet meal curled up with a good book. This versatile dish will always keep them wanting more.

Prep Time:

Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 20 mins
Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:

Olive oil for sautee
1 lb Shrimp (de-veined)
2 Tomatoes (finely chopped)
2 Tsp. salt
2 Tsp. Black pepper
½ Tsp. Cheyene Pepper
1 dash of Old Bay Seasoning
½ Cup of Chopped Green onions
1 Tsp. Thyme
½ Tsp Cumin
1 Cup Heavy Cream

Directions

  • 1. Bring Olive oil to high heat in a large skillet then reduce to medium/high.
  • 2. Boil the Angel hair pasta until it is just past Al dente'. Remember to put a few drops of oil into the water to keep the noodles from sticking and add salt to season. After the pasta has finished boiling; Remove noodles from water, strain and set to the side.
  • 3. Sautee tomatoes and green onions for approximately 5 minutes before adding cream and all other ingredients except the shrimp. Sautee for another 10 minutes or until all contents are thoroughly mixed so the cream has reduced and thickened.
  • 4. The last step is to add the shrimp. Cook all ingredients together until shrimp has turned opaque. This will let you know that the seafood is cooked all the way through. Never over-cook seafood because that will make it dry and tough.
  • 5. Place Angel hair pasta in a serving dish. Cover the pasta with the Cajun shrimp and cream sauce. Toss the pasta together with the sauce and sprinkle the top with your favorite toppings.
This dish can be served hot or cold and is best with a large slice of French Bread. Try topping the dish with parmesan cheese and hot pepper flakes for an extra bit of flavor. To make this dish more kid-friendly, substitute the spicy ingredients with parsley or chives.
