Beautiful Hands: 5 Daily Tips for Good Care

Beautiful Hands: 5 Daily Tips for Good Care
Each month you shell out serious moolah on a gym membership and probably as frequently invest in beauty products. All that is great, but what about your hands? Chances are they have been forgotten, at least until they start telling everyone how old you are. The skin on the top of your hands is thinner than the skin on the bottom. It tends to get even thinner as you age and often develops spots and discoloration when exposed to the sun.
WebMD says, "The end result, say experts, is wrinkly, crinkly crepe-like skin texture and the noticeable appearance of bulging veins, which also grow larger over time." Oh my! If you want to improve the look of your hand skin or just want more beautiful hands, try these five daily tips for good care.

Protect your hands

Wear rubber gloves whenever you immerse your hands in hot water or use household cleansers. Even so-called moisturizing dishwashing liquids can suck the oil out of your hands. Invest in rubber gloves and when stepping out in the sun, reach for outdoor gloves.

Exfoliate hand skin for good circulation

Mix a few tablespoons of olive oil with 1 tablespoon of sugar. This homemade sugar scrub is the perfect consistency for sloughing away dead skin cells without damaging your hands. The olive oil leaves your hand skin wonderfully soothed. Dampen your hands with water and then rub the sugar scrub on the hands. Rinse and moisturize!

Moisturize daily

Don't skimp on the daily moisturization for your hands. Here's a good rule of thumb-moisturize after hand washing. By replacing the natural oils in your hands immediately you'll limit painful drying that can lead to premature skin aging.

Massage your hands.

Giving yourself a good massage is a cinch. Slather your hands with moisturizer then gently press your hands together lightly. Grip one hand with the other, squeezing it to massage it. Rub around the palms, the fingers and wrist. Your hands will feel wonderful!

Limit the antibacterial gel

Constantly cleaning your hands with antibacterial gel will definitely dry out your skin. Stop! Limit the gel applications. Instead, opt for moisturizing soaps.
Keep your hands looking beautiful with these daily hand skin tips. Your hands will thank you!
