Bad Hair Cut: What Should You Do?

Bad Hair Cut: What Should You Do?
It was a simple hair cut so you thought you'd give it a try. Whoops! Here's another possible scenario: Your hair dresser misunderstood you and now you're leaving the salon in tears. Whatever the case may be, subpar hair cuts do happen. What should you do when hair disasters happen to you?
First remain calm, after a good cry of course. Hair styles mean a lot to women, even those of us who aren't big trend followers.
  • Talk to your hair stylist and let her know you are unhappy with the cut. Don't be rude but insist that she fix it. If she can't, ask for a manager. If necessary, phone a stylish friend and ask her who she sees. If you're still at the salon, let the stylist know immediately that you don't like the cut. (It could just be the wrong cut for you!) Get suggestions on Plan B.
  • Resist the urge to fix it yourself. That means cut it yourself. Don't do it. You could only make the haircut look worse.
  • Think about going curly. Okay so that straight bob looks terrible on you. Wind things up with a few curls. A few well placed spiral curls can liven up a flat, ugly hair cut.
  • Break out the blow dryer. Are your bangs too short? Get the most length you can by holding them by the ends and blowing them straight. Give your hair more volume with a squirt of styling mousse before you blow.
  • Part it or move the part. Nothing changes your look faster than moving your part. Try the hairstyle with a far left, right or center part.
Waiting for a bad hair cut to grow out can be a pain but in most cases, it can't be avoided. Arm yourself with some pretty hair accessories and try new styling techniques. With some work, you will find a style you can live with while you let it grow out.
