Wait until you discover just how many jewelry pieces that you can make for Valentine's Day. You'll be amazed at the various earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pins, and other jewelry pieces that you can easily create. You'll sport metallic fashion accessories that can be attached to purses, made into headbands, and turned into key chains when you use holographic paper to make the new Valentine's Day items. Gather a small amount of cheap craft supplies and you'll have so many new things in minutes!
What do you want? Traditional jewelry? Sparkly fashion accents? Whatever you can imagine, you can have it. Visit an office supply store or a discount department store to find holographic paper. An adhesive paper is a great choice. In addition to it, you'll need a few things from a craft store. Look for small, unfinished hearts made of wood, and you can make any number of jewelry designs.
Cut a piece of card stock and a holographic heart. Stick the holographic paper to the card stock and you quickly have a jewelry piece. Now, stick a pin backing to it with hot glue to make a cute pin. You can write across the heart with a fine-tip marker or even stick a smaller heart to it. If you want, use a wooden heart as the base for the paper.
A holographic heart can be made in many different ways. Make the above arrangement and then glue lace around it. Or, make two hearts, glue them back-to-back, and turn them into earrings. Just put a thread through eye of a wire earring, bring the ends together, and trap them between the two hearts. If you want dangling earrings, connect another heart to that heart, and another to that one, and so on.
Stick two holographic hearts together and poke a hole at the dip in the top of the heart. Put in a jewelry chain or metallic cord to create an awesome necklace for Valentine's Day. Do the same thing to make a bracelet for the wrist or ankle. Craft a choker-type necklace by poking a hole on each side of the heart arrangement mentioned above, and use a jump ring or jewelry link to connect the cord or chain.
It's expensive to go out and buy new jewelry for Valentine's Day but it sure is fun to have it. If your bank account doesn't allow for diamonds and gold it doesn't mean that you can't still sparkle. You can - and you will - when you make holographic jewelry and fashion accessories.
