Put down the catalog that features those beautiful wedding bouquets. There are many wedding needs that a regular person can make and, if that person is you, you won't have to spend hundreds on a nice bouquet for your wedding. You can easily - and inexpensively - make a stunning bridal bouquet when you use cupcake liners. Since they're available in so many colors and patterns, you won't have any trouble making a bouquet that coordinates with the other elements of the wedding.
Most any grocery store, or discount department store, sells an assortment of cupcake liners but you'll find a huge variety online. Choose cupcake liners with butterflies, polka dots, stripes, or solid colors of pastel pink, blue, or yellow. Or, go for something that will absolutely grab attention: metallic colors. Cupcake liners of metallic blue, gold, or silver, are especially stunning as a wedding bouquet.
At a craft store, choose a Styrofoam ball of the size that you want for the bouquet. Keep in mind that, after the cupcake liners are on it, the ball will look much larger. A good size is 5" to 7". While you're there, pick something to use as a handle, such as a large-diameter dowel, or a Styrofoam cone.
If you'll be using a dowel for the handle, paint it, or wrap it in ribbon. Push the end of the dowel into the Styrofoam ball, remove it, fill the hole halfway with hot glue, and put the dowel back into the hole. If you're using a cone as the handle, wrap it in cloth or ribbon, put glue all over the flat end of the cone, and stick it to the ball.
It takes awhile to affix all of the cupcake liners to the Styrofoam ball but it's not at all difficult. Fold a cupcake liner in half but don't crease it. Fold it again, and again, until you have a small triangle. Apply hot glue to the tip of the cupcake liner and affix it to the ball. Continue doing that, again and again, as you create rows that go around the ball. When the ball is completely covered in the liners, go around and open the cupcake liners up as much as possible.
You can add other things to the cupcake liner bouquet, such as ribbon, strands of pearls, or sparkly beads. With the vast number of cupcake liner designs for sale you can make your bridal bouquet that goes well with your gown. You'll fool the guests into thinking that you spent a fortune on that lovely bouquet and no one will recognize it as being made from cupcake liners!
